Alliance For Democracy (AFORD) presidential advisor on media who was also personal assistant and spokesperson Saulos Thindwa has, resigned from the party’s office with immediate effect.
This comes at a time as the party is moving towards its convention following revamping measures established early this year.
In a letter addressed to AFORD president Enoch Chihana, Thindwa said that the resignation is in the best interest of the party for it will help him to perform media coverage in a fair and balanced manner.
According to Thindwa, the decision will also enable him to cover every AFORD aspiring Member of Parliament (MP).
However, the aspiring has indicated that he will be available to work in the same position after convention.
“After convection, I will be available to offer similar services in your office if it shall please you to have me again in such a capacity”, reads the resignation letter in part.
AFORD is one of the oldest political parties in Malawi that emerged in the wake of battling for multi party democracy.
