After interviewing thousands business owners, these are the “FIVE BIG” mistakes seem to occur over and over again.

Many business owners have confessed in making these mistakes. But these mistakes are easy to fix.

1. DOING EVERYTHING OURSELVES

Finding the right staff is always an issue and as a result, we tend to end up doing all the work ourselves. We got into business to have freedom but end up doing paperwork until 11 at night. Isn’t it time to build your business differently?

2. GETTING STUCK IN OUR BUSINESS

It’s too easy to get stuck doing all the wrong things in your business which ties up your time, not allowing you to work ON your business instead of IN it. This is a mindset change and can be taught.

3. TOO MUCH DUPLICATION OF TASKS

If you do not have a “cloud” based automation system, you will always end up doing the same tasks 2 or 3 times over. What is automated business? Well this is where you have a systematic back office software system that handles the lead coming in, processing it, invoicing, job cards, banking, accounting and then sign offs. When you have this you never duplicate work ever again.

4. WE SPEND OUR CASHFLOW TOO QUICKLY

Sometimes when we do well in business, we spend our reserves too quickly. We buy that Bakkie we’ve had our eye on, suddenly we must renovate our offices and before you know it, we’re broke again. Nothing hurts when we are winning and that starts a spending spree. Be careful and rather spend money on opportunity costs that make us more money.

5. WE STOP LEARNING

Business is changing so fast nowadays that we should continually upgrade our thinking and change our businesses to suit what is happening out there. It’s like grime in the shower that builds up and we don’t notice it, the same is true of business that changes and we don’t notice that either (Going to my workshop increases this knowledge base.
