Bizarre! Police arrest father for defiling step-daughter of less than 2 years

Some things can really call for divine intervention. Almost everyone is going to wonder why a 36-year old man would defile an innocent step-daughter of less than just 2 years.

Machinga Police are keeping in custody a 36-year old Kabichi Botomu for allegedly defiling his step-daughter aged a year and 9 months.

Police information says that Botomu got married to a 25-year old mother of three Patuma Lakesi of which the other two were twins.

Botomu is being suspected to have defiled one of the twins in absence of her mother who woke up early with the other baby to draw water from a borehole.

Upon return, the mother found that victim was breeding from the private parts but the suspect could not explain. The mother then reported the matter to Mangamba Police Unit in the district.

Medical personnel at Mangamba Health Centre confirmed the occurrence of defilement on the victim.

According to Machinga Public Relations Officer Davie Sulumba, the man was arrested and charged with defilement contrary to section 138 of the penal code.

Kabichi Botomu hails from Kalonga Village in Chowe Traditional Authority in Mangochi district.
