One of the TNM Super League last season’s thriving team Blue Eagles continue to face hardships in the new season as it has dropped six points in its southern region two fixtures over the weekend.
Blue Eagles first lost to Premier Bet Wizards FC on Saturday at Mulanje Part Stadium before Zomba based soldiers Red Lions who have maintained top spot in the league hammered them with 3 goals to 0 in a match played at Balaka Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Red Lions now has 11 points at the summit while Premier Bet Wizards come second with the same points. Mzuni FC and Mafco FC have 9 points each and are on third and fourth position respectively with Azam Tigers hanging on fifth spot.
In other matches played on Sunday, Mafco FC has beaten Moyale by 2 goals to nil, Nyasa Big Bullets smashed Blantyre United by 2 goals to 1 while a match between Mzuni FC and Kamuzu Barracks at Mzuzu ended in 1 all draw.
TNM Super League is expected to regain full molare in the coming weekend after a completion of Airtel Top 8 Cup which left some teams inactive in the league for some weeks.
