Galaxy FM Radio Employee joins active politics

As the time for much anticipated 2019 tripartite electoins in Malawi drawn near day by day, the political scene has been characterized by a lot of occurrences from switching parties to joining front line politics.

Among the people joining front line politics is Jeremiah Ngwaru, a young journalist working with Galaxy FM as a news reporter.

Ngwaru, who is also a student at Mzuzu University (Mzuni), told Malawi News Hub that he has decided to join politics because of the challenges people are encountering under leadership of what he called ‘recycled’ politicians.

He therefore advised the youth to resist from being used as tools to satisfy interests of some of these politicians.

The 23 year old journalist and former Mzimba Community Radio Station employee “believe that the youths, through collective actions, can change the political landscape in the country to favor the governed”, he said.

The new politician is expected to contest as a ward counsellor on an independent ticket.
