Former Malawi President Joyce Banda (JB) has hinted that she would seek the country’s top office if people still want her to serve them after losing to the current leader Arthur Peter Mutharika (APM) during the 2014 elections.
Banda ascended to presidency following late Bingu wa Mutharika’s sudden death within his second term in office.
Speaking to Aljazeera Banda stated that she would stand again at the will of the people whom a leader is purportedly to serve.
“If they want me to run again I’ll run again, it’s not my priority. It doesn’t matter”, said Banda.
Meanwhile, the former leader has never been in the country following her loss in the last elections.
