The Malawi high court in Lilongwe has granted Madonna a permission to adopt two more children from Malawi.
The US Pop star was in the Lilongwe courtroom with her lawyers when the ruling by the Malawi High Court was handed down Tuesday.
Madonna, 58, filed an “application expressing interest” in adopting two children on Jan. 25, a Malawian government spokesperson said – but at the time she denied she was seeking to expand her brood.
The singer told the media that she was only in Malawi for charity reasons.
“I am in Malawi to check on the children’s hospital in Blantyre and my other work with Raising Malawi and then heading home,” she said, referring to the charity she founded in 2006.
Madonna has already adopted two kids from Malawi— David Banda, 11, and Mercy James, 11.
She has two other children, Lourdes Leon, 20, and Rocco Ritchie, from previous relationships.
