Malawi, Zimbabwe Stock Markets Lead African Markets in 2017

The performance of African Stock markets so far in 2017 has been very impressive, looking at the current YTD performance, as most indices trade in the green zone.

A quick review of African stock markets performance reflects that the Malawi and Zimbabwe industrial index tops the African Markets.

Zimbabwe Industrials Index tops the other African markets with +119.84% YTD gain and seconded by Malawi +62.14% ,Ghana at +51.37 %while the Moroccan Casablanca Index records the least gain of +5.80%.

However, Ivorian BRVM-10 records the highest loss of -18.39% and closely followed by the Botswana DCI with -5.64% losses in that order.

The Nigerian All-Share Index currently records +43.34% YTD performances as at 22nd December, 2017 and fourth best performing stock markets in 2017 as at the period under review.
