When a family member is leaving the country to look for green pasture in another country,the family back home expect a transformation of life from poor living to a successful life. This was as well the expectations of Mwandira family in the outskirts of Traditional Authority Chindi in Mzimba district in northern Malawi.
Their son, Welusi Mwandira, left Malawi for South Africa some few years back only to disappear on one night of November 2016. He disappeared from the sights of his family members living in South Africa.
The family tried to trace his where about in South Africa and Malawi but with no positive results.
Wyton Samwiri, cousin to Mwandira, told Malawi News Hub, his cousin used to stay in Honeydew, Msawawa and Diepsloot before his disappearance.
When asked if the Malawi Embassy in South Africa were informed about the incident Samwiri said the Embassy was yet to be approached.
In an audio clip in Tumbuka langauge believed of Mwandira’s brother, Gift, the family is urging the general public to help them with information of their brother’s where about.

Meanwhile the family have opened a case of missing person at Randburg Police Station.
Malawi embassy in South Africa were not available for immediate comment on the development.
Mwandira hails from Thumba School, Gamphamawe Village in the area of Traditional Authority Chindi in Mzimba district.
