Zachariah resigns as Masters Security General Secretary
Masters Security Football Club General Secretary, Zachariah Nyirenda has resigned from his position with immediate effect.
Malawi News Hub understands that Nyirenda resigned so he could concentrate on his bid for the Vice General Secretary’s position at the Super League of Malawi (Sulom).
“As you are aware that I am currently vying for the post of Vice General Secretary for the Super League of Malawi next month, I therefore resign with immediate effect,
“I am grateful to the club owner Mr. Alfred Gangata and the entire Masters Security Football Club for the opportunity I was accorded to serve as the GS for the club,” reads part of his resignation letter.
Nyirenda handed over his resignation letter to the club’s owner Alfred Gangata recently. He was part of the team that won promotion into the top flight in 2017 from the Chipiku Central Region League.
“I will always cherish the great moments we had at the club as a family wish the club all the best in the upcoming seasons,” wrote Nyirenda.
The club has previously struggled in the debut season, finishing on 13th position, but it enjoyed much success in season that recently ended where they won the Carlsberg Cup before finishing 4th in the TNM Super League.
